Senior Developer

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Developer to join us at STS Commercial. We are developing a suite of crypto-asset analysis tools, which you'll have the opportunity to be at the heart of.

We're looking for a Senior Developer with 4+ years relevant experience and the following core skills:

• HTML/CSS/JS
• Experience of object-oriented PHP, Java, or Python in a production environment
• Experience of modern JavaScript framework(s) such as JQuery, Angular, React
• In-depth understanding of relational databases with experience in an SQL variant e.g. MySQL/MSSQL/Postgres
• An excellent understanding of networks, and how to relate to web applications eg domains, LAN/WAN
• Problem solving
• Self-starter
• Team worker

You may also be able to demonstrate experience with:

• Object-oriented Android in a production environment
• PHP application frameworks such as CakePHP, Laravel. Etc
• Version control software e.g. Git, SVN
• Test driven development
• Cloud computing and Linux server setup and administration/tuning for performance
• App development
• Project management and direct management of developers

You'll be involved with the following work:

• Developing crypto-asset analysis tools
• Loans pingtree that handles around 1M UK loan applications per month
• Customer data management and reporting systems that interface with many other systems including UK phone networks, email service providers, and credit reference agencies.

We offer a friendly office environment in the centre of Bridgend within just a short walk from the bus and train stations, and close to the M4. Commutable from Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.
